| SteerU Assist SteerU Assist interacts with SAP GUI to guide end users while performing a real business process in a SAP application. SteerU For SAP only works with the SAP GUI client and does not affect the SAP Server. It requires SAP GUI 6.20 or above. To start the player, simply double-click a script that was authored in SteerU Studio. SteerU Assist connects to the SAP GUI and displays instruction describing how to use it according to the script. The following picture shows the SteerU window after loading a script. For each guided step, SteerU For SAP highlights the screen component that is relevant to the action (such as a field, button or tab) and displays a pop-up bubble containing relevant instructions. Once activated, a guide panel appears which displays a checklist of all the steps of the pre-recorded script and their status. The following picture shows an example of stepping through a guided SAP procedure. After SteerU For SAP validates that the end user performed the action required by a step, this step is marked (checked) in the Step List in a special window that provides guides, as shown above. The Assist then automatically proceeds to the next step of the script. This guide window enables the end user to view additional information regarding the step to be performed, such as the constraints and the motivations for performing the step. While an SteerU Assist script is running, a list of all the steps to be performed is available for review so that all procedural stages can be seen at a glance. |
